## Description

COMPATIBLE WITH PS4

Review: Read whole thing. Pros Cons at end. - I love this game. In all ways, it is better than 2015's installment. It is honestly one of the best games of this year. Sure, it has loot boxes. But they aren't more intrusive than Call of Duty's, Overwatch's, or Destiny's. In fact, I have had this game for almost two weeks, have yet to buy ANY loot boxes, and still do amazing in multiplayer. The perks are good and can help, but they are balanced and not game-changing. Is it easy to unlock things and level up? No. You have to grind. And honestly, it's one of the most fun grinds that I've had. Without paying money, I have opened more loot boxes than you would in Black Ops 3 in the same amount of time. In two weeks I have unlocked all heroes, most guns, and most star cards (with some upgraded). There are plenty of challenges that give you rewards, and these challenges are fun and honestly keep me invested in grinding on multiplayer. They're not hard, just long. But immensely fun. The only thing I will say is that gears (which are used to upgrade star cards) are hard to come by until they do something about that. But it's hardly noticeable. And you get one free daily crate. Pros: AMAZING graphics! SPACE BATTLES! Great story that really ties Episode 6 and 7 together while introducing new characters Great multiplayer that feels like the original Plenty of unlockables Weapons with attachments Class system Hero Points that you earn while playing with teammates, near objectives, and getting kills. It's really easy to get heroes. I've gotten 3,000 points in one life (it's 6000 for a hero) and only 3 kills by following the team-oriented formula. I have hardly played a game where I wasn't able to get a hero by the end. And mostly because we won too early lol. They thankfully got rid of that stupid floating emblem system Team-oriented Great music as always! A LOT more heroes and maps than the first one Heroes are a LOT more balanced than the first game, very fun to play, and allow most of the team to play as one some point during the match. Cons: No Droidekas yet! X( Loot boxes (but if you're that worried about it, let's just all agree not to buy any. And like I said, it's honestly not worth it. You can unlock everything through hard work. Just like every other game. You don't start off in Metroid with full suit upgrades...) Spawns can be weird sometimes and spawn enemies behind you. Though this is only really noticed on Team Deathmatch (Blast) The story is a little dull. It is a good story. But I feel they could have done so much more... But I won't spoil anything... Heroes are map and time specific. In other words, it costs 2000 BP more to buy Darth Maul when you're playing at Starkiller Base from Episode 7, or 2000 more to play as Han Solo at Naboo on Episode 1. While I understand this increases the immersion, I feel it is pointless and gives certain teams more of an advantage when they have more heroes for that era. It is 6000 for the right time and map heroes and 8000 for wrong heroes. And this is fine if it weren't for the fact that sometimes there's only one hero that is 6000 and sometimes all but one of them is 6000. Let's say we're at Starkiller Base. On the Dark Side you have Kylo Ren as 6000, everyone else is 8000. On the Light Side, you have Rey, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Leia, and Luke cost only 6000, everyone else is 8000. See the advantage? And since heroes are more likely to die and not as overpowered as the last installment, this inclusion of triage is honestly too much. I admire the fresh idea, but it's pointless and should be fixed. All in all, some flaws yes, but honestly one of my favorite games out there right now. And definitely one of the best of this year.
Review: Starwars Battlefront 2 Crap Or Gold? - Well its better than the mess that was Starwars battlefront 1 Let me be clear, im only giving it 5 stars because of the 1 star ratings that obviously only complain about the microtransactions and things, which I will get to in this review. My real rating for this game would be a 4 out of 5 though. It would be a 3 out of 5 if I didn't get triggered by the microtransactions. I don't like them but they don't bother me so much that I have to give a one star rating. Story : well its there, honestly nothing special as the AI is brain dead when it comes to shooting so you will advance through it pretty quickly. If anything the story campaign serves as a sort of tutorial for multiplayer. Gameplay - well there is tons of improvements to the game. The ground gameplay is great as you npw have the old point system which yes the original starwars battlefront 2 also had. It works better than just picking up those stupid powers on the map. There can even be up to more than on hero on the map so its not limited. With the introduction of having acutal classes this time just makes it so much better than having to customise your character to fit a certain playstyle in the last one. Space battles are easiest the best mode in multiplayer, feela nice and big thanks to having also bots included in the space battles. To bad ground combat needed bots, idk why not include them. So we have a few heros here and a few new ones for obvious cash in for the current new trillogy. Hey the online seems to be stable somewhat too, at least it hasn't crashed on me. Oh and there is also arcade mode for doing challenges and earning credits. Tons of maps this time around, 18 planets I think, with 4 being exlusive to story mode. So yes there is a ton of maps this time. There is also free DLC to come in the future, which is VERY nice. Graphics - Never complained about them and still haven't. Dice knows how to make it pretty at least, not so much immersive with unnecessarily large maps with very little players on the field.... Sound - it works, it has all the authentic sounds you would expect from starwars. Negatives - Obviously microtransactions, its just not needed here. Please EA control your greedy attitude... But no thanks to that and the stupid ass loot box that gives you pointless things. Credits are honestly not easy to earn, even with regular matches and you need them to unlock the heros which by the way are ridiculously expensive. Speaking of the heros, some of the choices of them are just odd..... I get having ray and kylo but some random lizard bounty hunter that died so quickly in episode 4-6 trillogy? Comander Lea? What...? Why no count duku or general grevious? Freaken dark maul and yoda are the only heros from the 1-3 episode trillogy.... What the hell. I get that you want more "new" heros but your neglecting the prequels too much. I hope they will added more heros via free DLC. Anyways those are the main issues at it stands, I hope at LEAST they can fix the credit earnings better than what it is now. It IS a GOOD game, but the whole microtransactions nearly break the entire experience that dice has made. Either you boycott the game or just don't pay for microtransactions. The practice needs to die, particularly EA. EA has a gambling problem and it shows with ALL their new games.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this going to have a season pass I am going to have to buy for another 60.00$**
A: They also confirmed they'd turn the P2W Lootboxes off, in the game, but they're gonna turn them back on, again.

There's a good chance EA won't have the Star Wars license, from Disney, to make a Season Pass, or much of any DLC.

**Q: Will this edition be for X-Box One as well?**
A: Pre ordered mine on the Dreamcast.

**Q: Is this one going to have a single player campain? Or is it going to be just PvP again?**
A: It's going to have single player - you'll actually be playing sort of a "bad person" role. The developer has said they are delivering the campaign that the fans want.www.polygon.com/2017/4/15/15312904/star-wars-battlefront-2-single-player-story-campaign-details-dice-ea-motive

**Q: will we get the beta code if we pre order the game on amazon?**
A: Here's the email sent to me.

### ⭐ A failure on all fronts
*by C***O on 22 November 2017*

Star Wars Battlefront 2 was formerly a pay to win mobile style game that Electronic Arts tried to scam it's consumers with. It’s the second botched PR launch that EA has done again with the freaking Battlefront property. One of the most vilified games ever. With the most downvoted comment in reddit history, the lowest user score in metacritic history with a 0.8 at the time of this review. The biggest question that needs to be asked, does Star Wars Battlefront 2 deserve the hate it is getting from fans and consumers alike? Let’s find out. The Good: I am going to praise Battlefront to a bit before I rip it to shreds. Think of the calm before the storm. -Improved since the last game. With classes and more rewarding gameplay than the last one. Heroes and Vehicles can be bought through in-game match coins now instead of camping a spawn to play as Luke you can do good and buy him and play him. -Graphics and sound. This one is a given but the game looks better than the last one especially on the pro and the x with a solid steady 60 frames per second. The sound is star wars so it expect epic music and great pew pew sounds The cutscenes are nice and the facial animations prove that Bioware didn’t know how to make females look on the frostbite engine with Mass Effect Andromeda. - Free Content and more content at launch than the first game. One of the biggest outcries of the first game is now fixed with my favorite the clones wars back with all three era and more planets even a Single Player campaign. No Season Pass all DLC will be free with no split playerbase. The Bad: So, how did EA screw this one up so bad it should be at the very least a decent game and not this dumpster fire. -The Loot Boxes. EA saw how much Overwatch made on the loot boxes and decided to build Star Wars Battlefront 2 from the ground up around them. Unlike Overwatch which is just cosmetics. EA took the abysmal star cards system and build it around them. Star Cards are gameplay modifiers that give your character mods to improve them. What made this worse was you could of previously bought them with real money to Pay to Win. Even though EA turned of microtransactions the game is still built around the freaking loot boxes so progression is utterly crippled because of this. With the most egregious loot box system in the industry I am not even excited for the new “free content” when I know 100% most of it is going to be locked behind these dumb boxes. Oh yeah, even though EA has “turned off” the microtransaction they are planning to return them at a later date so it not fixed EA just wants to cool of this titanic PR blunder that has investors worried. I hope EA realizes that they could have just put loot boxes full of star wars cosmetics and they would have made fist full of dollars, but no they went for the most intrusive and hands down worse system that makes the Call of Duty WWII with its public spectacle loot boxes look like the greatest loot box system ever. This game is a giant loot box! It takes more than 4,500 hours to unlock every base-game piece of content in Star Wars Battlefront. Even though it has more content than the first game you won’t see all of it. Which is just infuriating that how stupid EA can really be. -Progression, it's tied to the star cards which is tied to the surprise surprise the loot boxes. A bad progression system can destroy a multiplayer game. It does for Battlefront 2 where you have to grind a lot to get to the items you want. The gameplay is decent but if you aren’t progressing to some goal or it takes a long time to achieve a goal. What is the point of even playing? Sure you have more content but if your progression is one big dreadful mmo-esque grind than what is the point of even playing if you're not having fun. -Arcade Mode has limited credits reductions just like a free to play mobile game the grind is laughable limited per day. Honestly EA should have just made this game free at this point with another wall. -Story is four hours and is a generic defect story with Iden two missions in decides the empire is actual the bad guy and she is going to fight for the right side. Which was disappointing to say the least. Here I thought they were going to do something unique and original but in a game whose base content is locked behind a freemium model I was sadly mistaken. -The deluxe edition is pay to win $20 extra dollars needs you a powerful star cards and last jedi skins. I did not receive the deluxe code with my copy amazon send to me so I paid extra for nothing. Verdict: Star Wars Battlefront is the biggest failure of 2017 hands down. When you take a property like Star Wars one of the most beloved franchises in the world and Battlefront another childhood cherished game. Make it to one of the most controversial products to the point where government investigations are conducted over the most egregious model of monetization of a $60 game. To the point where the controversial first game with it’s season pass and lack of content is child’s play compared to this one. If Star Wars Battlefront 2 isn’t a bad game I don’t know what is. Thank you EA you took one of my most cherished childhood games and ruined the franchise.
