Variable line width and darkness depending how hard you press and the angle of the pen. 2. Extremely light lines can be made by skimming the pen. Few rollerballs do this. 3. Extremely fast and light crosshatching or filling in...more like a fountain pen. 4. Very reliable pen flow in old pens that have sat in a drawer waiting to be used. One caveat: unlike most rollerballs, this type of pen will happily continue to stain your shirt or pants if it gets uncapped inside a pocket. The ink will flow and flow, and it's impossible to clean. Since it's a cap not a click pen, this will assuredly happen if you use this one as a normal writing and work pen.
