What is the issue and has it been corrected?** A: They are level if you put it on correctly. Some guys just want to put it in the hitch and not use the added bracket lock that keeps it sturdy and locked in the hitch tightly. **Q: Will this fit a 2008 Tacoma double cab? How big is the step?** A: Yes. Anything with a 2" hitch. **Q: Why does this product rattle after installation?** A: One reason can be that the 2" Square hitch does not fit tightly into the receiver. This is a common problem and actually makes it easy to insert the hitch end into the receiver. But this does allows the hitch to "rattle" in the receiver. My hitch step came with a bracket that locks the hitch tight to the receiver so it does not rattle, and it works well even though it is an extra piece of hardware to install. According to the picture, it is the "U" shaped bracket and plate on the left. You should check to see if that came with the step bumper and install it to stop the "rattling". The final install looks better than expected, offering a sturdy and clean addition. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for my needs on my 1999 TJ! *by G***R on October 6, 2024* ** 1yr later Update ** Purchased on October 2, 2024, its 1 yr and 1 month later, and rust is starting to form, the coating is starting to flake off. Also the pin lock, the lock itself it showing rust spots too. Not a major issue for me, I live in New England and everything rusts up here, however I do not drive this Jeep on salted roads. Great complete kit to add a step and maybe some addition rear protection. There are a few holes to use to adjust the depth you want your step. For my use Its roughly in the middle, I could have easily extended it out a couple more inches. The pin lock is nice, its not for towing, thats obvious, but its a decent locking one. Rubber o-rings to use to keep it from rattling around, and a R pin incase you don't want to use the lock. Everything bolted up fine, I used blue thread locker so its a rough ride on my Jeep, don't need it getting lose and parts falling off anymore than it normally does.
