## Description

At the heart of your city, exceptional men and women inspire your people and carry your civilization to its acme. Choose them carefully and they will contribute to your greatness. Neglect them and they will end up leading rivel cities! In addition to two new Wonders, this expansion offers you a new type of card: Leader cards, Queens, astronomers, philosophers, and generals will bring an extra strategic dimention to your games. The new edition features a new box with gold leaf; improved layout for better game immersion; two new Wonders designed for the expansion; a booklet that describes the expansion's new effects, and integrates the Leaders Anniversary Pack and the Leader cards presented in the original Cities and Armada Expansions.

A: No, the cards are different between the first edition and the second edition. You would not be able to mix this expansion in with any first edition 7 Wonders.

If you like 7 Wonders Duel, get this expansion immediately and never look back! Pantheon takes Duel from a really fun 2-player game to one of the all-time GREAT 2-player games. My wife and I love the base Duel game and still play it occasionally, but Pantheon is our go-to now.

The original 7 Wonders: Duel is a great game, among my favorite 2-player games. However, after a dozen or so playthroughs the original game becomes a bit repetitive and leaves an experienced player wanting a bit more. The Pantheon Expansion delivers. All of the new mechanics are well-designed and fun to play. The expansion gives the player several new options that add an entirely new dimension of strategy to the game. I've found the expanded game has considerably more staying power than the original, mostly because it's more dynamic and complex, giving an experienced player considerably more to think about. The expansion involves a lot of new rules and significant set-up time, which could be a bit of an obstacle for new players. Also, the addition of new options and powers tends to inure to the benefit of advanced players, causing margins of victory to be larger in the expansion than in the original. But that's also what I think makes the expansion more challenging, rewarding, and fun. I recommend getting acquainted with the original game first, but the expansion is a great improvement. This is one of my favorite games. Very highly recommended.

I love this expansion. It is definitely the most complex between Cities and Leaders, making it off-putting for those that just want an easy-to-learn expansion. So many dimensions are added in this single expansion, allowing multiple paths to success. I would highly recommend this one for those that like a more in-depth expansion.
