Thin but soft **Q: Can a robot vacuum go over this without ruining the rug or vacuum?** A: The shag is pretty long and very fine, not like regular carpet fibers. I would not recommend using a robot vacuum on it. But maybe try it and watch it the first time to make sure it doesn't tangle? How can I tell? It's the weak soft pad and design on the bottom of the rugs and the silky slippery fiber they call carpet. I buy them all the time because their very inexpensive, but they don't last after walking on them it causes the weak pad to stretch out, break down and the rug looses it's shape like a blanket laying on the floor. It's slippery due to the type of fiber they use. This fiber will matt up quickly after you start walking on the rug. When vacuuming turn the rollers OFF or you pull out the fibers and will have bald spots throughout your rug. I still buy them for the price and they look good until they break down.
