I'm happy to report that it is perfect :-) I also have another star back because upon further reasearch it appears this blanket might be 4 layers after all. There are different ply for Muslin, and some are very very thin. Super reputable company, and excellent customer service is Top of the lineUPDATE: This blanket is definitely only 2 layers! I still love it, and I guess I was expecting that, but still... seems pretty misleading. Minus 1 star for misrepresentation. I have to take away another star, though I hate to do it because this is a great, affordable blanket. But, on one side of the blanket the 2 layers are separated & "overlapping" the stitching.. going all the way down the blanket. It looks pretty bad. I'm currently trying to ask for a replacement, even though I've already thrown out the packaging. So if I am able to get a replacement, it fully deserves 4 stars. 5 really, but it's not 6 layers, or even 4.Soooooo soft, super sweet design (lightly colored stars, not bright as it appears in some pictures), and 47x47 as described. My only quarrel, (which honestly I was expecting so I'm not that disappointed) is that it's hard to believe it is 6 layers. We don't have an Aden & anais silky soft dream blanket (yet) so I can't compare it to that brand, but we do have a milkbarn bamboo muslin 3-layer blanket and even it feels a good bit thicker and heavier than this blanket. ! I think I'll be using this one in the summer, it's definitely a bargain for the price! Generously sized, indeed. My son is 13 months, but in 99%tile for height and weight, so the size is appreciated for us! My son recently lost his aden and anais bamboo dream blanket (4 layer bamboo muslin) and i bought this as a replacement, but when i opened up the packaging i noticed that it is significantly thinner than the dream that we lost. The muslin layers itself are thick and great quality, HOWEVER there are only 2 of them. We already have a 2 layer cozy, i was just hoping to replace our 4 layer main blanket and this turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. Im going to keep it just because the price is good and the quality is great even though it's not what i was expecting, but I am pretty disappointed that it was misrepresented. It's a very soft, thin blanket. Its not a typical bed blanket, it's thinner. It's perfect as an oversized swaddle, stroller, or security blanket. I purchased this as a light weight summer blanket for my two year old. It's just right. It's just long enough for him to sleep under. Our house gets hot in the summer, we only have fans. So this will work just right.
