A: No, I don’t think so. You might want to try map pins.

**Q: Can you sew over these pins**
A: Yes. Just sew slowly over them to avoid the sewing machine’s needle from hitting and kinking the pins.

**Q: Are these easy to cut? Like with metal cutters to cut the top off?**
A: I haven't cut it, but if you want to I think you won't have a problem. It's kind like a Needle. Hope that helps.

**Q: Are they nickel plated?**
A: They are steel. I don't believe they are nickel plated.
