Was bought as a Christmas gift for a coffee lover (though you can use tea). Its pure theatre and is fun to watch and looks good when used after a meal sitting on the table and boiling away. If you like big mugs of coffee, you will get anout 1 out of it. Otherwise for the polite wee cups you might serve friends over for a meeal you might get about 3 out of it. The recipient loves it and it has a place on the kitchen counter to displayed when not in use. Remember to read the instructions! Had a few seconds of bafflement when the coffee had been sucked back into the pot but then didnt come out when the wee tap was turned on. Then some basic physics came into our brains about a vacuum and we opened the top of the boiler and the it started to pour :-)
