What a mistake!! When I read this book it made me sad my own parents hadn't taken the Bible more to heart and self-educated themselves to it's content and it's meaning to their lives. I enjoyed the author's story about her lovely family and their faith. These sweet stories of wonderful godly heritage that she has, how her parents loved and cared for her and her sisters warmed and encouraged my heart. This book is unlike her other books in that it's not as "teachy" but rather just simple stories. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ New Parents - Laying a Good Foundation *by P***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2015* My wife and I have both loved this book. The family ideal Elisabeth describes sets a high standard, one we very much believe in. She also acknowledges our need to be surrendered to the Holy Spirit for help in being godly parents and role models to our children. We have recommended this book to several friends who are currently reading it and have been blessed as well.We are just beginning our journey as parents and are so thankful to have this resource to look to as we go. One question we ask of Christian parents with adult Christian children is, "how do you keep your children in the faith?" This book has been a confirmation and a comfort to us as we work toward this question in our family.One practical thing to note when reading it, is that it begins in a rather round-about way.
