It came really dirty and dusty but after boiling it as instructed and soaking it i had no problems with it sinking in the tank. It is natural and makes an aquascape look really natural if thats the look you want. The shrimp gravitate to it and hide in the crevices and spend a lot of time picking at it. Recommend if you have shrimp or want a natural looking tank.

**Q: Do plecos like to gnaw on chollo,?**
A: They'll probably go for any alge or microorganism that grow on it

**Q: There's little fuzzy mold on the cholla wood. Is this normal?**
A: Mine certainly did not have anything like that.  It was 100% dry and I had to let it soak for about 3 days before it would even sink.  Sounds like it may not have been dried and packaged while still damp.

**Q: Does this wood sink or floats in the fish tank?**
A: Cholla wood will sink.

**Q: Do these help lower the pH in Aquarium water?**
A: I have not seen any significant ph reduction, since adding to my dwarf shrimp tank. .they love it though,  all over and through all the time
