**Q: I bought this slicer and find it awkward to use. the push top does not slide well. i am surprised at the good reviews. am i using it wrong?**
A: No, you are not wrong.  The push top does not work easily, especially when you get down to the last few slices.

**Q: how is this item powered? is it rechargeable or does it use battery?**
A: No it does not have power or battery. It is a manual spiralizer - you turn the top knob with your hand. Sounds intense but it’s actually a very sharp smooth blade. I spiralized two zucchinis in just a few minutes.

**Q: Would this be able to handle beets?**
A: Iono beets me.

**Q: What country is this made in?**
A: Almost all of the off brands on Amazon are Chinese companies from China.
