Very disappointed in this product. **Q: Can this be used as electric insulation tape for say covering a wire for floor lamp?** A: Maybe. Why not use electrical tape? It’s so much cheaper and will have better insulating qualities. **Q: I have a tear or hole on the bottom of mattress and boxsprings. Will this work and stick on the tear and what about durability?** A: Without seeing the tear on your mattress and boxsprings, hard to be "definitive". The mattress should be okay since it is probably a synthetic fabric. I used the fabric tape on a High Sierra brand duffel bag, backpack, and nylon/polyester like over the shoulder light pocket book. It is definitely worth a try since no one would see the mattress bottom or a boxspring. I would try to order a gray or white color fabric tape, if possible to blend it with your mattress/boxpsring colors. I have found fabric tape to be pretty sturdy. It's worth a try if you can still use both and not need to buy a new mattress and boxspring immediately.
