Thx!** A: Hi Micaela, you can definitely add tea tree oil to the shampoo, but as you stated make sure it is a very high grade of essential oil - like organic or at a minimum, therapeutic/medical grade. I would suggest using a small bottle and mix your formulation in a small batch instead of adding it into your full size bottle. Use the rule: you can always add more, but you can't take it out once it's in! Essential oils are very strong so just a drop or two should be plenty.
