I believe its which pins are wired. **Q: Would this work to connect a russound controller cav6.6 with two 3rd party control systems?** A: If the communication is one way - from the male connector side on the splitter to the 2 females, then it should work. I used it to connect a device that was outputting information over serial to two different PCs - the male was connected to my device and one female to the male serial connector on each PC. Worked great for this application. So the transmit from my source was connected to the receive on the PCs. No adapters/gender changers were required for this application. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works to split Bose cinemate signal *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on 1 April 2021* Works to split the signal on Bose Cinemate so you can run four speakers. No quality or signal loss. I bought an extra pair dirt cheap off eBay in hopes this would work and it does with this cable. 4 tiny Bose satellites rocking my living room now! Love it. I also bought a 50 ft extension so I could place them in all four corners of my great room with 25 foot ceilings. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ excellent *by K***L on Reviewed in India on 19 June 2018* Excellent product work as described but come to very late take apptox 11 days to dileverd because handled by third party and come from USA.
