The opportunity came up to try one out so I decided to try it for myself. I have used this peeler twice and it is amazing. I love pineapple but I can't stand cutting it up. My wife feels the same way and she is usually the one who does the cutting but recently, she swore off pineapple. She finally got to the point where she said she wouldn't cut up pineapple anymore so I knew I needed to figure something out. I bought this product with guarded expectations, but so far it has surpassed all of my expectations. The first time I used it I was amazed. I simply used a knife to cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple, and then inserted this peeler into the core of the pineapple. I thought the process would be slightly cumbersome and annoying but it actually couldn't be any easier. Pineapple is not hard to cut through but this goes through it like butter. After cutting off the top of the pineapple, I was able to finish the pineapple with this peeler in under 30 seconds. I couldn't believe it. It cuts so easily and after the first time, I realized that it wasn't necessary to cut off the bottom of the pineapple. When I used to cut up a pineapple, and mind you I only did it a couple of times, it would take me 10 minutes or more. I can complete the entire process with this peeler in under a minute, it is like magic. My wife feels the same way, and happily, we are eating pineapple again. I love it! The only problem I can see with this tool is it probably wouldn't work the best on an extra large pineapple. On an ordinary pineapple it is perfect and there is barely any waste, which was an initial concern of mine. However, I can see that if you used this on an extra large pineapple, it would end up wasting a little bit around the outside. I am thrilled with this product and I would recommend it to any pineapple lovers like myself.As a disclaimer, I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for leaving an honest and unbiased review.
