Physical activity, anywhere on the spectrum of vigor, not so much. The metal legs in the middle of the bed snapped off at the welds, the metal rail then bent, the bed collapsed in the middle, the broken metal supports dug holes in my newly finished hardwood floor. This was 2 months after purchase. Amazon wouldn't extend return. Zinus would not issue refund. Zinus would only send me exact same bed as replacement. I'm out the $100 I paid for assembly, plus my hardwood floor is wrecked. **Q: Does it squeak? Has anyone used this daily for 6 months or more? Do you still like it?** A: We bought this bed frame about 4.5 years ago in Queen size. The two of us are less than 300 lbs total. Our chonker of a cat probably pushes that over, though. Bed still looks great and has held up with no issues. We have not noticed any squeaks or creaks. I do recommend tightening up the screws periodically, though. They get a little loose after about a couple months and we notice a bit of movement to the bed and the slight beginnings of a noise. Love this bed frame and am thinking of upgrading the stock metal frame that came with our guest bed. That old thing has been warped and broken for over 10 years. **Q: is this bed made of real solid wood? No fillers or glues or other materials added?** A: It is NOT pine, which is a soft wood. It is some kind of hardwood for the frame and legs and, I think, pine (not plywood as rep said) for the slats. It is finished to a bit like varnished pine or like a light golden oak. They've used some small pieces of hardwood compressed and glued, so that's what the erratic or zigzag colorations are.
