Review: Excellent product! - The material and pattern are quality. The stitching is quality. The size is more than adequate. It fit my budget and exceeds my requirements. I recommend it and would purchase again.

Questionable about being totally waterproof because none of these tarps rarely are waterproof. Will edit the review if I find it leaks. Stakes are very lightweight but seem sturdy enough but rough pounding will bend them if you're not careful. Only included 4 but there should be at least 6 included. Paracord and stuff sack are a nice added touch. Good that the tie-down points are reinforced.

**Q: Does anyone know the actual pack weight, both with all and without the stuff-sack tent pegs?**
A: The tarp, guy lines and sack total 2.12 lbs, or 33.9 oz. Tent pegs were not included.

**Q: About being waterproof. Waterproof as "heavy rainforest rain"? or , waterproof as "water mist spray"? (by my exp it seems rated for water mist)**
A: I’ve used it during a heavy FL thunderstorm, the winds were extremely strong and occasionally a stake would be pulled out of the ground from the gusts, but the waterproofing performed very well.  It is very waterproof in my experience so far. We’ve used it in medium to heavy rain about 9 or 10 times and we’ve stayed dry every time. Only drawback is that the tarp is heavy to backpack due to its sheer size.

**Q: I am curious how this tarp compares to the kelty noah's tarp, or the chill gorilla, particularly how sturdily the grommets and loops are stitched?**
A: its actually really durable, i've use both noah's tarp and the msr thunderridge and this out performs both, easily twice as tough as a noah's tarp and a bit sturdier than thunderridge. this is just really overbuilt and stupid heavy, like its easy 2 lb 4 oz, compared to kelty and msr which are 1lb easy.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent tarpaulin for outdoor activities

TLDR; A good waterproof tarp option for outdoor activities, solid reinforcement on seams and attachments, too few stakes, poor stake quality, loose threads, price may be a bit high. The tarp itself appears to be of decent quality, with solid reinforcement at the seams and attachment points (+). In several water tests, the tarp appears to be water proof (+). The only issue I have with the tarp is the several long threads around the edges (photo). Easy enough to deal with, but I would expect a bit more quality control (-). The included stakes (photo) are extremely lightweight (0.425 oz / ~12g each) and do not appear to be high quality (-). Attempting to use them in U.S Western clay (Caliche) immediately begins to bend them. In addition, most scenarios will require more than 4. I switched them out for 8 titanium alloy stakes. which work well in our ground conditions. The included cordage and sack are a nice addition (+).
