For context, I sat the UCAT in 2025 and scored 2520 (99th percentile) and this book played a solid role in building my foundations. I mainly used this book in the first month of prep. It really helped me consolidate the basics of the UCAT before jumping into anything too intense. At that stage, I didn’t want to pay for platforms like MedEntry or Medify yet, and this was a really good alternative to ease into UCAT-style thinking. The questions were a good mix of easy and hard, which I liked. It didn’t feel overwhelming, but it still challenged me enough to improve. Everything was super clear, there were no typos, and all the answers seemed correct. The explanations were especially helpful and easy to follow, which made it easier to understand where I was going wrong and how to fix it. One thing I really appreciated was being able to see my improvement from the start of the book to the end. It genuinely felt like my skills were getting stronger as I worked through it, and by the time I finished, I had a much better handle on the different question types. That made transferring over to digital platforms later on a lot smoother. Overall, I really liked this book and I think it’s a great starting resource.
