I searched for quite a while, really paid attention to reviews and dimensions, and I still wasn't sure this was going to work. When I received it I thought it was too small. But I tried it, and it.. kinda works yeah. 2 healthy normal servings, you'd want a salad and some greens on the side. It's similar to what you'd get if you bought pre-made meals So it's going to be a long one.. but that would have been useful for when I was looking to buy such trays So I made a big batch of "mash pie" type of recipes in an afternoon. About 3.5kg of potatoes (before peeling), 1.5kg of mince meat, about 800g of fish pie mix, and some 400g of duck confit meat for a duck parmentier. It did as expected 2 trays (4 portions) of duck parmentier, as really there's no extra in it, just caramelised shallots and duck) I expected to get 4 trays of fish pie, as I doubled a standard 4-portion recipe, but couldn't fit it, as it's really small! So 5 trays. And for the beef, that was 10 portions of cottage pie, but I couldn't fit it in 5 trays and made 6 trays instead. At this point I was still wondering if that was enough food. As you can see, it fits slightly under 1 normal portion of fish pie/cottage pie. I ate a serving of that cottage pie and was really happy with it. It sure isn't the massive servings I'm used to, but it was a nice normal serving, as you'd get buying ready meal in the shop. That allows you to just make nice homemade meals, and have a healthy serving of it, rather than trying desperately to replace everything with a low calorie version and have a lot. I have to make lasagna next, and I'm wondering how that's gonna turn out! You can basically fit exactly 1 sheet of lasagne I think So I'm happy with it. Be warned, it will be filled to the top right up to the paper cover line, but it fits! If it was ever so slightly bigger (say, 100ml) I'd be about perfect Review: Sturdy and good size - We use these in the air fryer all the time and they are brilliant. Don’t use the lids much as they are paper and can’t go in the air fryer but if you have any leftovers they are good for that. Saves washing the drawers in the air fryer all the time. Just ordered our second lot. The first ones lasted us a year but there’s only two of us. Would definitely recommend.
