Do you know if they make a crinkly noise? The cats would be sensitive to this.** A: That's what I use them for. I used 3M spray glue to affix them to the walls of the coolers I used. But yes they would make a slightly crinkly nois. However you should put straw (not hay) on the bottom of any shelter you make. Cats like straw. Straw makes noise too. I built a fancy shelter around the coolers. **Q: what type of metal is used in the reflective coating? I suspect silver, but would like to know.** A: I do not think it is metal. It is the color of the mylar. I believe it is added in manufacture.
