**Q: Will this work on a .40 caliber?**
A: It would be better to use a cleaning kit for 40 caliber. This will work but not be as effective.

**Q: Does this kit include brushes (nylon, phosphor bronze, etc)?**
A: This kit includes one very stiff bristled nylong brush, one slotted end, and one knob end.  It's a single rod only, since it's for a pistol.  Also includes one box of patches (about 40 patches in the box), a 2 ounce bottle of Hoppes #9 bore cleaner and a 2 1/4 ounce bottle of lubricating oil.  Standard Hoppes brushes found in gun shops everywhere will fit this rod, so you can add/replace as necessary.

**Q: Would the brushes fit my S&W 380 Bodyguard?**
A: The Brush is .4'' diameter & 1.2" long, and you can also use the Cloth wipes. I use it on my 9MM Pistol, and fits a .38 Pistol, too. J.S.

The aluminum rod is lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy. It threads together securely and reaches easily down the barrel without scratching. The included slotted tip works fine for patches, though I’d recommend picking up some extra caliber-specific brushes if you really want to get into heavy fouling. The No. 9 solvent has that unmistakable Hoppe’s scent, and it cuts through carbon buildup and powder residue quickly.
