They have to rework the surface of what you're painting to be cleaner and allow for adhesion of the next paint layer. I've been painting ceilings (which were previously high-gloss) with this, and there was no drip onto the floor, or down my arm. 2. It goes on well. Smooth as velvet and nice coverage from the first roll onto the last. It's thick, and one coat is all you'll need before you move on. 3. Clean up is a snap. My brush washed out quickly. Everything came up with water. 4. Dry time is super fast. Only con is the smell. But you can't expect a paint like this, a good, thick, and durable paint, to be low VOC. As a long as the surface is clean I don’t think the sanding was necessary. **Q: Can i use kilz adhesion as a primer over sheetrock when i am going to tile over? vs sanding the paint and tiling?** A: Depends on where you are doing the tile. If the paint is in good condition just clean it. If it's gloss sand the sheen off then clean it. If it is bare sheetrock then yes it will seal the sheetrock and help prevent moisture penetrating. It cover great and it works well ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by H***R on 29 January 2024* Manufactured home, with ugly wood like shiny wrapped cabinets and molding. Cleaned with dawn dish soap, applied this product and it went on smooth with 100% coverage, allowed to dry and added another coat, solid white. Now to paint. In the past I’ve used other primers and when painted on the primer would bead up, not coat the area at all. I was skeptical of this product, but am blown away! No sanding, no beading, just smooth complete coverage. Now to tackle the whole house and rid myself of the ugly orange wood like cabinets and trim! Update: started on kitchen cabinets and trim. After washing down with dawn dish soap, rinsing with damp cloth and drying, I then used M-1 TSP substitute and followed directions on bottle. Then brushed on primer, first coat went on perfectly.
