## Description

KU100 Beaterless Silent Kick Unit for quiet play. Velocity sensitive. Compatible with Yamaha DTX400, DTX402, DTX500, DTX502, DTX700, DTX900M, DTXM12, DD65, DD75. Make sure you hold onto the plug, not the cable, when connecting or disconnecting the cable. Also, never place any heavy or sharp objects on the cable.

Review: Works great with my Roland SPD-SX - Much cheaper than the Roland branded pedals, and works great including velocity sensitivity on the trigger ports. The kick pedal is not particularly stiff in terms of it's springiness, but playable and sounds great.
Review: Worth the money. Best option for yamaha dd75 - I bought this for my Yamaha dd75. I am beginner drummer and this is my first kit. The pedals which came in the box with dd75 were just plain stupid. I looked up online and could find that this is the promised one to buy with an electric kit. Since I have very less experience of using other types of pedal, I can't say how better it is compared to others but this product is a high quality, well built and well designed product. It strong and heavy and comes with a really long cable which is really impressive. I haven't faced any issues using it. Concern- the only concern or question I got in my mine after using it was if the spring is supposed to be that thin or should it be offering more resistance and if should be bouncing back stronger. I found it comfortable but I felt the pedal getting back into it's original position is lil eased out and it should be somehow quick. Added the pedals which came included in dd75

## Questions & Answers

**Q: does it work without a drum kit?**
A: Hi Steph,
It's an electronic trigger pedal, velocity sensitive, that can play any electronic sound from a sound module that can receive its trigger signal on a 1/4 inch jack. Most of these types are drum-centered modules. It does not require a drum kit, but needs an electronic sound module plus an amplification system of some kind, or headphones, to hear it. This pedal does not send a Midi signal.

**Q: Will it work with Alesis drum pad?**
A: As far as I know, a beaterless, silent kick pedal like the KU 100 doesn't require a drum pad. -If it's striking against an Alesis drum pad...it wouldn't be silent! so if you meant "will it work with Alesis drum MACHINE" -I'm not 100 % sure it will work with an Alesis, but I bet it will. My friend used the Yamaha KP65 kick pad on his Alesis with no issues, so if that KP65 works on yours, then I'm guessing the KU100 will also - I've checked youtube videos for compatibility before, they can be so helpful! -good luck, I hope you get it going! -peace.

**Q: Could you use 2 of these using a splitter?**
A: Probably. It's passive, so that should work. But this pedal is terrible and no one should waste their money on it.

**Q: will this work with a SoundX model??**
A: It's just a trigger, so it should work. But it should also be better in general. If you're looking for a good kick trigger, this is not it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ NEARLY SILENT!! and next to zero reverb into the floor when playing!!
*by O***R on July 29, 2022*

I got this since I live in an Apartment, and playing my e-drums is a stress reliever. but when a few months ago i got the dreaded knock on my door to quiet down one evening, I haven't touched them since :( I stumbled on this pedal sort of by accident, when searchign for a way to quiet my existing beater style pedal. and when I saw this was beater-less and compatible with my head unit (Alesis DM-8) I hit buy now. It arrived today, and I plugged it in, and had to try out my kit for the first time in months. and I can tell you it's really, REALLY quiet.. even when you stomp on the thing it makes a tiny noise.. but NOTHING like my old Beater bar and kick pad. Just because I'm paranoid, and trying to be a good neighbor, I folded a tshirt and put it under the pedal just to eliminate any transfer of vibration to the floor, and even playing with headphones off, and just listening to the sticks on my pads, and kick pedal.. it's more quiet that my Window-AC that's 9ft away, even when mashing on the pedal. HIGHLY reccomend this if like myself, you're looking fior an e-kick pedal upgrade, and also cannot reccomend it enough for those looking for a nearly silent pedal for any E-Kit.
