First, I got rid of the flimsy cord that was attached to the hole on top, and opted for paracord, as it is more multi functional. Next, I advise the purchaser to file away the 'burrs' that are left from the drilling machine, when the holes were made, (I would suggest a chamfer bit.) They were obviously not buffed away, and will fray your cord under tension. Next, I guess that these head and body shaft are 'press-fitted', so if the head comes loose (it hasn't yet,) reset it with a strong bonding agent (I suggest taking along a small bottle of Gorilla Cement, NOT the Gorilla Glue.)I previously used the large 'nail' type pegs, with the plastic heads for tying to the tent, or tarp. The plastic breaks after a while, and they weigh much more than these. The older I get, I realize my physical limitations, and opt to be smarter! These perform as well, and lighten the load. I also don't need the clumsy rubber mallet anymore. I'm getting the Naturehike Camping / Outdoor hammer....after using one that a friend purchased, as I like the obvious versatility of it as well.I believe in a strong family, a strong bond of friends, and a strong Country. It is a responsibility to pass on the basic outdoor, and survival skills to our future generations. As promising new products come on the market, I enjoy putting them to the 'test'. ### ⭐ Horrible product. *by A***R on August 22, 2016* These things are horrible. I bought two packs and good thing I did. I bent the entire first package. I would not recommend these to anyone! ### ⭐⭐ Heavy, solid aluminium...bullet proof yes! *by A***K on April 22, 2016* They mean NOT ultralight but lighter than a brick. Poor representation at best and do not fit in an ultralight category.
