SO MUCH BETTER than the base ratchet - more teeth make it MUCH more useful in tight spaces. Ratchet action is smooth and positive - no slipping in the head. Body appears to be the same head-thickness with a slightly longer handle. After using this one, I bought a 3/8" and 1/2" ratchet with more teeth as well - for the same reasons. Comparable to much more expensive tools at a fraction of the price.
