This Kaweco pocket fountain pen is closed only 10.5cm in size and can therefore be easily carried with you. With the folded cap it grows to a normal size of 13 cm. The nib thickness is 0.9mm and it can be fitted with cartridges.

Review: This little guy is beautiful - I collect fountain pens and use different ones for different things. I am planning a trip during which I will keep an old fashioned travel journal. I wanted a fountain pen that traveled well. After doing a TON of research and watching YouTube videos I hit on this little guy. It's short which means it stores easily. Post the cap though and it's a full-sized pen ready to go. The octagonal cap means that it won't role off the table. You can buy a clip for it, but it doesn't come with one (doesn't really need it). Anyway, nice pen, writes really well, and fits just like I wanted. I got burgundy but it comes in many different colors. If you want to spend three times as much you can also get an aluminium version. However, I like the lighter weight of the plastic version which is more suited for travel.

It’s a beautiful dark red color pen. When I opened the box, and took out the pen, no sound of the cartridge. It was inside the pen body, but stuck. I posted about this on the Fountain Pen Network. A kind person replied that a pen store employee said to get something soft, like a notebook, and gently whack the pen body opening on the notebook. The cartridge popped out right away. I put a different cartridge of Kaweco Ruby Red in it. Gave it some time, then wrote with it. It started well, and is a smooth writing M nib. The pen is a very dark shade. To me, the darker colors on plastic Kaweco pens look classier. At the price here, I say buy one!

I’m in love! As a lefty, I find it very hard to find a fountain pen that doesn’t scratch. I picked up this one in a medium nib, and I have never had such a great experience before it flows as easily as a gel pen with no scratching. The size is perfect for my small hand. As a beginner fountain pen user I can’t recommend this enough for both its price point and quality.
