Review: Best Choice for Expanding your Network - I saw this device once buts not interested on buying yet. My younger son ask me to buy it in order to get better reception of his PS5, he had the console connected directly to a ethernet but he moved his space to another part of the house and had not access to it anymore. He was the reason I opted to buy this system, I had my doubts about it but all that went away and we are very satisfy with the results that I opted to buy an add on unit for my 65" Smart TV. We have at home a 300mb download internet service and most of the time we receive thru the devices between 100 and 125 constantly, I don't know if that is good or bad but my kid is happy because his games don't lag anymore and we have a constant speed while streaming via the Smart TV. The installation is really simple and and does not need any attention or follow thru, once set is set. The ones we have are the Ethernet ones, feed the device via cable (NOT Wi-FI).

**Q: Do you have to be on the same breaker or just electrical panel and does it lose bandwidth?**
A: I had no problem running to a detached garage, which has it's own sub-panel. I got around 60 Mbps throughput from 2 and 6 Ghz and the "Gigabit" port, same on either phase in the subpanel. That's down from around 90 Mbps when the remote was inside the house near the base unit.

It definitely did not like running with the remote plugged in to a GFI outlet -- it would not stay connected. I had to install a non-GFI outlet for it.

**Q: Does this block the second plug-in on a standard wall outlet?**
A: With this product plugged into the bottom outlet, a standard three-prong plug doesn't quite fit properly in the top outlet. It goes in far enough to work, but it's jammed against the top of the AV1000 unit. A two prong plug should work fine.

**Q: How long are the included ethernet cables?**
A: The TL-PA7017 Kit comes with two 6.5 ft. (2m) Ethernet cables.

**Q: The description says "No new wires".  So does this unit come with an ethernet cable to connect to the router?**

Im on the opposite side of the house from my ethernet cord and I didn't want to run a wire through out the entire house just so I can get an ethernet connection on my devices here. This product let me just run it through the powerline and enjoy an ethernet connection through that without having to worry about long cords though out the house. My gripes with this though are how it seemingly loses connection on rare occasion and I'll have to pair it again. Or how sometimes I'll experience high latency and I just swap to Wifi till it blows over. While those situations are annoying this product still is a great solution to alot of issues regarding ethernet connections though out houses.
