Regular iron pills resulted in constipation and severe stomach cramps. Gentle iron made me vomit. I took a slow release that I cut in half and was able to tolerate it. My iron levels were finally normal, but those pills caused so much burping, which might not sound that bad. Try to imagine so much burping that it was that bad. This OptiFerin-C has been amazing for me! I have no side effects and my iron levels are good. My only regret is that I didn't find it sooner.
