I ALSO learned that brewing should be done as follows;1. measure water needed, and heat to boil in separate pot or kettle.2. add coffee to filter insert.3. add hot water to bottom of moka pot4. insert filled filter and secure top (use hot pads)5. place on moderate (not highest) heat source with lid open.6. when bubbling liquid is the color of honey, remove from heat.
