In the body, glutamine functions as a major nitrogen transporter and is critical for the maintenance of healthy nitrogen balance.* Glutamine also acts as the primary fuel for the rapidly growing cells of the immune system and GI tract.* This double strength product has twice the L-Glutamine (1,000 mg per capsule) as in our regular strength product (500 mg per capsule). Natural color variation may occur in this product. ## Features - NOW Sports products are comprehensively tested so you can trust that our products are pure and effective for every level of athletics - NITROGEN TRANSPORTER*: In the body, glutamine functions as a major nitrogen transporter and is critical for the maintenance of healthy nitrogen balance* - DOUBLE STRENGTH PRODUCT: 2x the L-Glutamine (1,000 mg per capsule) as in our regular strength product (500 mg per capsule) - GMP Quality Assured: NPA A-rated GMP certification means that every aspect of the NOW manufacturing process has been examined, including our laboratory/testing methods (for stability, potency, and product formulation) - Founded in 1968 by Elwood Richard, NOW is one of the largest independent, family- and employee-owned manufacturers of natural products ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0013OW03W | | ASIN | B0013OW03W | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Allergen Information | Dairy Free, Egg Free, Non-GMO, Nut Free, Soy Free | | Best Sellers Rank | #29,664 in Health & Household ( See Top 100 in Health & Household ) #23 in L-Glutamine Nutritional Supplements | | Brand Name | NOW | | Color | White | | Container Type | Bottle | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (990) | | Date First Available | May 16, 2008 | | Department | Nutritional Supplements | | Diet Type | Vegan | | Dosage Form | Capsule | | Flavor | Unflavored | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00733739000910 | | Item Dimensions | 3.15 x 3.1 x 6.35 inches | | Item Form | Capsule | | Item Nype Name | Diet & Weight Management | | Item Weight | 0.35 kg | | Item model number | 0091 | | Manufacturer | NOW | | Manufacturer | NOW | | Manufacturer Part Number | 0091 | | Model Name | L-Glutamine, Double Strength 1,000 mg, Amino Acid, | | Model Number | 0091 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Primary Supplement Type | multivitamin | | Product Benefits | Immune Support | | Product Dimensions | 3.15 x 3.1 x 6.35 inches; 12.35 ounces | | Recommended Uses For Product | Amino Acid | | Special Ingredients | Amino Acid | | Specific Uses For Product | Amino Acid | | Total Servings Per Container | 240 | | UPC | 733739000910 | | Unit Count | 240 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** NOW - **Diet Type:** Vegan - **Flavor:** Unflavored - **Item Form:** Capsule - **Item Weight:** 0.35 kg - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 3.15 x 3.1 x 6.35 inches - **Primary Supplement Type:** multivitamin - **Product Benefits:** Immune Support - **Special Ingredients:** Amino Acid - **Unit Count:** 240 Count ## Images ![Sports, L-Glutamine 1,000 mg, Double Strength, Amino Acid, 240 Veg Caps - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71qVs0PqlIL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - NOW Sports Nutrition, L-Glutamine, Double Strength 1,000 mg, Amino Acid, 240 Veg Capsules - NOW Foods Supplements, L-Arginine 1,000 mg, Nitric Oxide Precursor*, Amino Acid, 120 Tablets - Now Foods Sports, Amino Complete, 360 Veg Capsules --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/273742551-sports-l-glutamine-1-000-mg-double-strength-amino-acid](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/273742551-sports-l-glutamine-1-000-mg-double-strength-amino-acid) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
