## Description

This matched duo of SH-6 Duncan Distortion humbuckers delivers tremendous power for raw, distorted, heavy rock tone. Duncan Distortions combine massive ceramic magnets with a pair of over-wound coils for the ultimate heavy guitar sound. With one pickup specially calibrated for the bridge position and the other for the neck, this matched pair lets you go from chunky, low-end, power chords to raging leads with aggressive harmonics. These pickups are perfect for drop-tunings, and both include four-conductor wiring for trick switching options. A wiring diagram and mounting hardware are included. The bridge model is designed for bridges with traditional string spacing of 1.925" or 48.9mm measured over the bridge pickup. Vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

Review: Oh my lord.... I am into mainly hard rock, anything from Nickelback to Slayer, but I do appreciate a good mellow tone too, I'm not into complete brutal metal saturated overdrive only, so where can I start :D I have been fighting to get a Gibson SG standard sounding good using a number of humbuckers from top well known companies, passive and active, even Gibson's own humbuckers were a disaster. Sorry Gibson, but these are not only fantastically clear n clean with absolute clarity, I have just given the SG a complete new life. I was considering dropping the guitar on ebay and sticking to my Jackson with cheapo pick ups but these Seymour Duncan's are a different world. If you want hard heavy bottom end de-tuned balls to the wall then look no further! Also the screamin lead solo's are really creamy smooth, not too bright. Perfect. With the volume rolled off the chords are real nice, and even trying to get that Angus Young ACDC sound is real easy. Why have I only just discovered Seymour Duncan? No, I am not getting paid by them and in no way affiliated with them but if you need your guitar to breath new life, trust me, do not hesitate to drop cash on these. Seymour Duncan have converted me. Thank you very much :) and great service/delivery from desertcart again as usual. 10 out of 10

Les micros sont assez faciles à changer, il suffit de savoir souder, les schémas de câblage sont fournis par Seymour Duncan. Seule difficulté : ces micros étant moins épais que ceux d'origine et les systèmes de fixation n'étant pas compatible, j'ai du trouver des vis et des ressorts adaptés à ces nouveaux micros. NB ce sont des micros conçus pour jouer avec des effets de distorsion. Sans cela, le son n'est vraiment pas terrible...

Oh my lord.... I am into mainly hard rock, anything from Nickelback to Slayer, but I do appreciate a good mellow tone too, I'm not into complete brutal metal saturated overdrive only, so where can I start :D I have been fighting to get a Gibson SG standard sounding good using a number of humbuckers from top well known companies, passive and active, even Gibson's own humbuckers were a disaster. I got these and was very excited to replace my Jackson stock pickups. Took everything apart and I installed them. After plugging them in, I got no sound fron the bridge pickup. Thinking I did something wrong on the install, I took them to The Guitar Center and had their guitar tech check them. The tech stated I did a great job installing them, but the bridge pickup was faulty. I returned them for a replacement for the same pickups. Hopefully these will work this time. I'll update this after I install the replacements. As of 07/10/24, I did the return and got the replacement. I installed it and had the Guitar Center hook up the wires. Bamm! The replacements worked!! The sound of these vs my stock pickups are just amazing!! Clean and crisp distortion. Although it was a nightmare in the beginning, these are worth the wait. Added a Floyd Rose Original Tremlo and this guitar is now Fire!
