Without the briquet grate and briquets in place, flame did not spread between orifices well. I was concerned, thinking the lack of crossover holes might pose a danger. Once the grate and briquets were in place, flame spread quickly across the entire left burner; the right burner ignited almost immediately from the left burner. Like other aftermarket burners available on desertcart, these cast iron burners are about 1" shorter than the original equipment brass burners, but they fit perfectly and should still give plenty of grill coverage. And for less than 1/5th the cost of OEM replacements, I am not about to complain!
