Any fix? Different cable?** A: I had this problem. You need to open it up and find the S contact on the board which has a red and green wire soldered to it. Desolder the green wire and solder it to the open S pad next to that (the one with no wires) and it will now work as it's supposed to. **Q: Does it work with the Baofeng UV-5RE ??** A: All the baofengs have the same connection point. . It will work. **Q: Does not work on my UV-82. Although when I push the PTT-B button the red light on the mic comes on?? Why?** A: This speaker-Mike works fine on my UV-82 and my UV-5Rs. Make sure the connecter is fully seated. The coil is very tight, so I've been exercising it to keep from having the radio so close when using the mic.
