## Questions & Answers

**Q: do these pedals come with cleats ?**
A: Yes, the pedals come with cleats designed to fit the profile of the pedal. You will need to change out the cleats on existing shoes that are not Crank Brother's style cleats. Crank brothers have a slightly different cleat profile.

**Q: Do I need to grease this pedals 7 like older models?**
A: I never have, or had to. Of course, a bit of grease on the threads is a wise idea. They work well.

**Q: Will these work on bontrager shoes**
A: Yes my wife has bontrager shoes. They have two holes for the clips. If you can use SPD you can use Crankbrothers. I love ours I would never go back!

**Q: Are you supposed to use the Crankbrothers shoe shields with this?**
A: I don't use any shoe shields on my crankbrother pedals. I have several versions of crankbrother pedals. This particular version has a rubber platform which does not slide / rotate as freely as the other crankbrother pedals, so you need to have slightly looser cleat that allows you to rotate your foot as you pedal. I like the crankbrother pedals since they allow a large angle rotation, but these particular pedals tend to add more friction for my taste.
