(I even bought the set as "used" not thinking that I would get a quality piece, but nope, when I opened it and saw that it was practically brand new, I was beside myself!) The board had no scuff marks, and the 2 hinges set flat on the table, the boards aligned perfectly, the chess pieces had perfect felt bottoms. It was amazing. I did have to rearrange the pieces inside so that the set would close correctly with the extra queens, but that is hardly a complaint. I am VERY happy.
