When i twisted the cap, the seal wasn't attached. These two things lead me to believe this item was previously opened. This is the reason for the low overall review.The product itself was hard and there is an unpleasant scent. I scaped some product off the top and it does melt into the skin and moisturizes well. So it seems to work based on my first impression, but the experience isn't great. I'm comparing this to l'occitane organic shea butter, which is double the price but a much more luxurious experience.I would have no issues using this is product if i didn't feel like this container was already opened.
