With a base/prep layer, nothing bad happened during use. But this paint is hard to work with! I ordered this multipack (in 3s) because it was the most affordable by ounce. The colors are very vibrant but the consistency of the paints vary a lot. The white was generally silky once shaken, but blue was like paste and it would not mix with the white. This made line-work on multiple materials impossible because the paint would clump up and look very sloppy. All 3 packs were the same. This is likely due to the nature of using real minerals to accomplish the glow in the paint, but I’ve mixed smoother paints by hand with just glow powder and clear or white paint. Do the minerals glow? Eh. The green will understandably last the longest at a few seconds at most, not not enough that anyone would even notice. Notice the very subtle glow in the shadow section of the green paint in the attached photo. I don’t think that I will order glow paint again that contains real glow powder, I will use regular UV reactive acrylic paints (Neon Nights is a good brand and I order other paints from them) and keep making my own glow paints. Having used both, for 99% of the time, you would never need to buy this kind of paint, so work with what is easiest and affordable. I still gave this 4 stars because it does do what it tries to do given the materials, and if you want drippy or hard to control lines as a style, I get it. Review: Bright & cheerful. The jars was smaller than I thought my project it will not be able to be completed. That is all I can say because I’m trying figure out what to do. I paint outside in the fresh air so I couldn’t comment on smell. When painting, make sure to wear cloths you don't mind getting paint on. You won't see the paint on your cloths till you're in black light. **Q: Can i blend the colors together like orange and yellow?** A: Sure. Just like you can with any paint **Q: Do these have to be charged up with a black light or require black light at all times? if anyone has been to edc, would it look good there? idk if they have black light or not** A: Idk what edc is but the paints do not need to be charged. They glow whenever they are under black lights; however, under regular light they look like regular paint. The colors (on black fabric) aren’t as vibrant ... the purple and blue are almost undetectable unless under black light, the red is a darker red, the pink and orange both have a reddish look, and the yellow and green almost looks translucent. The colors show, but I strongly recommend they be used for black light purposes otherwise it just looks like icky paint colors (on black fabric, I didn’t try the paint on any other colored fabrics). I have found that you need to apply at least three coats otherwise it's splotchy.
