Only 4 stars because this nonlatex black theraband used to be about the same price as the latex black, and now the company seems to have caught on that the nonlatex is much sturdier and lasts longer than the latex, and they raised the price. This newest roll also feels different—it has less real elasticity to it than the roll I got a few years ago, making me think it will not last as long and be more prone to stiffening and tearing (as the silver nonlatex was the last time I tried it). Please stay high quality, theraband! The feel and durability of your product is super important.

**Q: The band being 4" wide, how easy is it to tie together to make a loop from a single piece? Thanks!**
A: Easy, just make sure that you allow enough band to tie the knot.  I have had NO problem with knots coming untied or loose.

**Q: What exactly is this type of material?**
A: It's an elastic type strip that is cut from a 25' roll and is used to exercise with.

**Q: Can these bands be used in the water?**
A: Sure no problem. Don’t know if chlorinated water would shorten the life though.

**Q: How long should these last?  I have not had them long and my class uses them 1x/week, 4 people use the black & they are splitting & getting holes!**
A: Should last for at least a year… usually 6 months to 2 years, depending on the frequency and intensity of use. How long have they been using them? 
Doubt you got an old product, but sometimes it happens.

Still a good product! Only 4 stars because this nonlatex black theraband used to be about the same price as the latex black, and now the company seems to have caught on that the nonlatex is much sturdier and lasts longer than the latex, and they raised the price.
