Packing was more than sufficient and jars arrived not damaged. **Q: Is each jar 34 ounces or total jars 34 ounces?** A: Each is 34 oz. They are not very big **Q: what temperatures can it withstand?** A: It has a silcon gasket that seals jar, it doesn't look to be oven safe. I use it to store dry tea at room tempature and it serves that purpose well.
