Review: Quite simply the best noise cancelling earphones I've ever owned. - I have been looking for a pair of noise cancelling headphones for my honeymoon next year to take on the flight. I have read reviews and decided to go for these Anker Q30 headphones as they were on a deal at £44. They arrived and were well packaged, coming with a case and charge cable and jack cable. They are very comfortable and lighter than they look on your head and quite stylish with the cream colour. You will need to download the Soundcore App as this has some of the features, such as graphic equaliser, noise cancellation settings, and a very cool sleep sounds section, allowing you to set different levels of rain, waves, clock sounds etc. Onto the sound quality of the earphones, i can definitely say the sound is one of the clearest bassiest sounds from earphones I have ever had. The quality of this sound is something that you would expect to find on premium headphones like Bose or JBL. The deep base solid mid ranges and the clarity of the treble, were some of the best ive ever heard, i was sat with a big grin on my face. I was blown away with the quality after listening to a selection of dance, electronic and rock music. The noise cancellation settings on the headphone are also excellent. Within the app, you can set indoors, outdoors or travel as settings for them. I tried the different settings and you could certainly tell the difference. There was a tractor ploughing, a field behind me, and with the noise cancellation on, I could barely hear it. This is certainly going to work well on the airplane. So in conclusion, these earphones are excellent, definitely more premium than the price belies. I was so impressed, I bought my fiancee a pink pair as well, and she's over the moon too. They are that good, that my £250 Bose earphones are going in the drawer, these Q30s run rings around them. Highly recommend.

Sound quality is good when used with equalizer on app, without app the bass response is a bit heavy. I use these paired with my TV and Ipod touch at the same time, and its easy to switch between both sources when needed. Comfortable and well cushioned so I can were these for hours. Larger than most so my large ears are covered. These are a step up for me from the Q20s Ive had for years.

**Q: What codecs does this support, i.e. aptx-ll, aptx-hd, ldac, etc.?**
A: While supporting many different codecs improves compatibility, etc., it's not a good indicator of the quality of the sound you will get from the headphones. Case in point, the Sennheiser HD 450BTs utilize the aptx codecs, but they sound like garbage compared to the Q20s I was replacing them with. In my experience, aptx has more to do with latency reduction than actual sound quality. My advice is to get a pair of headphones that get decent reviews, good battery life, and use software with a good EQ. On Android, Poweramp is the best that I've found. You can adjust the bitrate, etc. to better match the capabilities of the headphones. You can use the default 10 bar EQ, or use a custom one. The settings allow for a LOT of customization.

Short answer...if the Q30s are at least as good as the Q20s, I think you'll enjoy them a lot.

**Q: can you use noise cancellation with a wired connection?**
A: I bought these headphones on Prime Day Jul 12, 2022. The version I received had the newest firmware that disabled ANC when plugged in. I had to return them, since I am expecting to have to use the wired connection on my upcoming flights.

**Q: Will this connect with a PS4 for gaming?**
A: PS4 and PS5
Wired, yes for both audio and mic. 
Bluetooth, audio only, no mic. You can get a dongle to plug into the PS4 if you really need them wireless, but that's another $12+ and occupies one of the usb ports.
I bought these for my husband. He uses them every night, wired to the controller, to play in a party with nieces and nephews. While the kids almost always are scrambling to make their mics work, my husband just jumps on.

**Q: Can I connect these to my tv somehow?**
A: If your TV has a Bluetooth transmitter, then yes, you could connect any Bluetooth headphones to the TV. If your TV does not have Bluetooth, you can purchase a Bluetooth transmitter device, hook it up to your TV's audio ports, and it will send audio to your Bluetooth headphones.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing headphones for the price, some issues after a couple years of use

First of all, great headset. Noise cancelling works as expected, if not better, I use it in many scenarios from long car journeys to day to day work in my household and it's a huge difference. Sound quality is great, very light, comfortable and easy to wear. After a year and a bit of solid use, the headset did show some signs of age with the left headphone losing audio entirely and periodic noise coming through, as well as some issues with the connectivity at certain angles. However, after emailing Soundcore's Support Team, I was able to claim my warranty and was sent a replacement within 2 days of the ticket being opened! I would definitely recommend this headset. For it's price, it's great value.
