A: "Borosilicate glass is a type of glass with silica and boron trioxide as the main glass-forming constituents. Borosilicate glasses are known for having very low coefficients of thermal expansion (≈3 × 10−6 K−1 at 20 °C), making them more resistant to thermal shock than any other common glass. Such glass is subjected to less thermal stress and can withstand temperature differentials without fracturing of about 165 °C (297 °F)."
From Wikipedia. So if that is true you can put hot water in the pitcher then in the freezer and it shouldn't crack. You could also pour boiling water over ice and the glass shouldn't crack.

**Q: Tall glass pitcher: top continues to fall off when pouring.  how do i receive a replacement top??**
A: Is this rubber in it? You may need to adjust it. I doubt you could replace that piece.

**Q: Does it have a metal handle?**
A: No it does NOT have a metal handle 
It's all sturdy glass. The top is the only metal part. All very sturdy. Highly recommend

**Q: Electric stove or gas stove usage for these glass containers?**
A: I still have a gas stove, & it works on mine. I'm sure it wouldn't be any different with electric, but not sure though.
