I went from a 1500 to a 2500 to a sand filter unit, all Intex brand and the valves are identical on all 3 of my pumps. I ordered a set when I broke one of the clips that holds it in place broke off. Worked great. **Q: Will this work for the drain cap on an intex sand pump?** A: If your drain cap looks like this, I would say yes. I looked at alot of sand pumps and they do have this part. I personally have a 1500 pump for an 18x48 aboveground pool and had to order these because mine broke at the top where the filter is.
