They are plastic frames and lenses, but feel very solid. I have always preferred wire frames, but these are nice and comfortable. I love the snap of the spring loaded hinges. They hug your temples nicely and close back up firmly when not in use. The magnification selection is outstanding. I like the higher power readers and have ya noticed anything over +2.75 is just doesn't seem to be available in stores anymore. I recommend these glasses to anyone looking for good quality readers.

I rarely write reviews but these reading glasses deserve a shout out! The lenses are good quality (no distortion). I need 3.5 strength reading glasses which can be hard to find in drug stores and, when ordered online, are often low quality. I'm hard on readers -- slip them in my coat or jeans pocket without a case, etc., but these hold up reasonably well (this is my second 3-pack) and, most importantly, they magnify without distorting.
