Once I cut the cord for Roku, the bar would not work for other devices, forcing me to use my LG OLED internal speakers to play dvds. Never did figure out why that was the case, but happy to have upgraded the system. The 12 year bar will be fine for the original LG tv it was purchased for in my bedroom. Or not. Having purchased Bestisan stereo speakers earlier this year, I felt confident with the brand, and thus far, no disappointments. Set up was not quite as intuitive as hoped, but this was due I am sure to old settings to accomodate the old bar. I love figuring out this stuff though, so the "fun" lasted a little longer!! :-) After some trial and error, I was able to get my LG remote to control sound, and then, got my Roku remote to talk to the bar. The fewer the remotes, the better. I will forfeit the music/movie/dialogue options, but of little use to me anyway. I can't say that serious audiophiles will be impressed, but at $85 and 30% off coupon, I would recommend this for those needing a good soundbar, particularly since it offers a wide variety of connection options--not all bars do. Note that you will need to buy your own HDMI cable, otherwise, the box comes with everything you'll need including batteries for the remote to get up and hearing.
