I bought it because it has a pleth reading. An SpO2% reading is meaningless without a strong pleth. This was the only one I could find that had 1) a pleth reading 2) a carrying case & 3) was reasonably priced. I also appreciate that the readout reorients to whichever way it is tilted towards the user -- neat feature. It also comes with a lanyard which is nice for folks who like to carry it around with them. I bought it to use as a nurse when I travel to locations without one. I love that it has the waveform so you can tell if it's reading accurately, and as a former cardiac nurse I want to see those regular waveforms! While I haven't seen afib with it yet, I'm sure it could be identified by someone skilled. Sometimes finger movements flip the screen and you have to tilt it a few times to get it back to the display mode you want, but it's no different than a cell phone. I would highly recommend it!
