You can also use the summer to your advantage by placing your waxed fabric in the sun until the wax is melted then let it cool. If it's a single layer of fabric, not a lined jacket, you can place the fabric between two pieces of parchment paper and iron it. I was going to try a new method of using a heating pad under the fabric, I'm not sure yet if it will work but it seems like it would. If you just put on a light layer you can rub it in with your fingers.
