A: You will need a adapter . It bolts to the adapter not the column.

A: I put this adaptor on my Yamaha golf cart. Its an older model, I dont know the year.

**Q: Will this fit 1986 ezgo marathon ?**
A: It will if you have the right adapter.

**Q: Will this fit a 1998 club car?**
A: It fits mine perfect. Just need the connector, took 4m to install, and I'm a girl.
