## Description

Briwax is a solvent-based blend of beeswax and carnauba wax long trusted by furniture restoration professionals as a multi-purpose furniture wax for wood. This wood polish for furniture creates a soft, lustrous patina rather than a high-gloss shine, helping enhance the natural grain and character of wood surfaces. Suitable for use on new wood, stripped pieces, and previously finished items, it also works as a wood furniture cleaner and wood conditioner for furniture, helping refresh and recondition older or worn finishes. Briwax is ideal for fine furniture and antiques, and it can also be used as an antiquing agent to gently age painted carvings or decorative projects. Clear wax can lighten or remove tinted waxes, making it a flexible stain for wood furniture. Not recommended for exterior surfaces or areas frequently exposed to water or high heat. Easily removed using a solvent such as mineral spirits. Net weight: 1 lb.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this protect a dining table from grease stains as well?**
A: I don't know for sure, but it certainly protects against water and other liquids so would think grease.  Not  hot grease, nothing much will really protect against that.  The other comment about the wax washing off, well I've never had that problem and I only put 2 coats on a huge bookcase and a window frame.

**Q: Is this a good cover for old scratched furniture?**
A: Not the clear. Use a shade of briwax that matches your furniture. I love briwax , but Old English or Restore-a-finish is better for scratch cover.

**Q: Can I used this on lacquer finished furniture?**
A: Don’t know.  Don’t think it would harm the furniture but don’t know how much good would do. I have usually used on old wood and antique things where it leaves a beautiful, clean satin like finish. I use with the ultra fine sandpaper with good results.

**Q: Does this work to seal steel/metal?**
A: According to their website:  "Use BRIWAX on all woods, untreated leather, marble, concrete, metal and painted surfaces."  So, yes, it should work find for that application.
