It's a very large and heavy pen. When you see it in person it looks very expensive and elegant. It's a high quality product with a very recognizable brand name. It is not worth $600 US Dollars. I know I bought mine for about $400 US Dollars brand new from a reasonable seller. I think he regrets it because he doubled the price several months later. Whenever you buy a pen it is up to you to decide what price you are comfortable paying. I know some people who think paying $20 US Dollars for a fountain is crazy.
