The hook opening is about 1.75" wide ... Had to push the hanger down on my closet hanging rod to get it to fit, and even then it was stuck in place; could not slide over. The hook openings on my other hangers (yes, I measured), were 2.00". Who woulda guessed that an extra 0.25" would make such a difference? But it did. I looked for replacement hooks in local hardware stores and on Amazon -- They don't exist. Sure, I could install more narrow hanging rods in my closets, but c'mon ... Really? That's a hassle and an expense I don't need. So, I couldn't use these nice hangers, and they've been returned. If you have a narrow hanging rod, they will be great. If I had a narrower hanging rod, I'd be using them right now. ### ⭐⭐ like mildew.
